We’re not really big football watchers in my house. My husband will watch the occasional game if there’s nothing else on TV, but we’re more hockey people. Football has lots of starts and stops, lots of standing up and bending over (my favorite part!), and lots of
hugging huddling. Hockey is a little bit faster and more engaging. However, we do watch the Grey Cup and Superbowl.
I’ve been to a couple of professional football games in my life. I can’t say that I didn’t enjoy them, I just enjoy the energy in the stadium more. Whether your game is hockey, football, tennis, or golf, there is a certain energy in the stadium, arena, living room, or general area around sports.
Endorphins are a natural hormone in your body that combat stress and give you an overall feeling of well-being. There are many ways to release these endorphins – exercise, smiling, eating chocolate, eating spicy food, laughing, and socializing are just some of the ways to release endorphins. Cheering for your favorite team or player with your family and friends will release your endorphins and make you feel great! The experts said so!
Make this pepperoni dip for your Superbowl party. Gather with your friends and family, enjoy some laughs and good food, and cheer for your favorite team together. Get those endorphins going! It will make you happy!

- 3 large deli pepperoni sticks – hot or mild
- 1 cup heavy (whipping) cream
- 1 cup cream cheese
- parsley for garnish
Cut the pepperoni sticks into small pieces. Add pepperoni pieces to a food processor and pulse until they are completely broken down. Add cream cheese and pulse until combined. Slowly add the whipping cream and continue to mix until completely combined and smooth. Transfer to a serving dish and top with fresh or dried parsley flakes.
